Local Restaurants & Places to Eat around Odiham

El Castello Odiham

83 High St, Odiham, Hook RG29 1LB, UK – 01256 704281

Excellent service even though the place was packed inside & out. The atmosphere was great... a wonderful atmosphere full of fun. There was just one downside being given a sauce with chilli in it when asked for it to left out. The staff were on the ball & my companion was given the option of choosing something else. As it happened, the weather has been so hot her appetite was filled just eating some of the pasta. My pizza was excellent. Since we discovered this restaurant, it's quickly becoming a favourite if ours. Chianti was really good, again due to the heat we drank less than half of it. We were given a cork so I could take it home. Forgot to take it & one of the staff came out to give us the wine. Now that's customer care!

Lovely restaurant. Superb food. Friendly service & good value. Only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is I asked for a jug of water but they only served two glasses, no jug. Having finished the water I asked for a refill and was told they would bring a jug. They then forgot the jug again. Eventually got it at third attempt. A pizza with the wholemeal flour option was ordered but the white flour base was served. Little things and they certainly didn't spoil the meal. I would happily return.

Grapevine Bistro

Wessex House, 121 High St, Odiham, Hook RG29 1LA, UK – 01256 701122

Four of us had a very pleasant evening meal at this bijou bistro last night. The service was attentive the ambiance/atmosphere relaxing and the food - our main reason for the visit - extremely good. We had the house Rijoa - extremely good value - and enjoyed the three hours spent there. My opinion - well worth a visit.

The menu was brilliant, just enough to choose from and the food was delicious. Such a good mix of flavours and ingredients, really well presented as well and not over priced. The staff were fantastic, friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this restaurant.
